Softball Recap: Ida Baker Comes Up Short

If Ida Baker was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Cypress Lake last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ida Baker Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the Palmetto Ridge Bears on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 back in February.

Ida Baker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Auger, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Ida Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Palmetto Ridge, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Ida Baker didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-2 loss against North Fort Myers on the 4th. As for Palmetto Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 12-4 defeat against Immokalee on the 4th.
