Ayersville has gone 3-0 against Hilltop recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ayersville Pilots will look to defend their home court against the Hilltop Cadets at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ayersville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They had just enough and edged Edgerton out 45-43. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pilots as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hilltop put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 48-41 win over Liberty Center. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Tigers are ranked 531st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hilltop's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Ayersville, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Ayersville against Hilltop in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, as the squad secured a 50-15 victory. Does Ayersville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hilltop turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
