Volleyball Preview: Gloucester Dukes vs. Heritage Hurricanes
The Gloucester Dukes are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Heritage Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Last Thursday, Gloucester made easy work of Phoebus and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Gloucester never let Phoebus on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 27-25, 25-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gloucester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colter Callis, who had six digs, five kills, and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tabb Hogge, who had ten digs and three aces.
Meanwhile, Heritage had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins.
Gloucester's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Heritage, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
