Baseball Game Preview: Hudson's Bay Eagles vs. Columbia River Rapids

Hudson's Bay hasn't had much luck against Columbia River recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Rapids at 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hudson's Bay's offense. They came up short against Woodland on Wednesday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hudson's Bay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Bradley, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Cam Nicklas was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Columbia River entered their tilt with Ridgefield on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Spudders. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 1, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Columbia River pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hudson's Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
