Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Humphreys County

Humphreys County waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Coahoma County Red Panthers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. Considering the Cowboys have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Christopher Lowe was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Percy Jefferson, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Humphreys County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Humphreys County's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Coahoma County, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

As of now, neither Humphreys County nor the Red Panthers have any future games scheduled.
