Softball Recap: Central Columbia Sets Scoring Season-High Against Shamokin Area

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Columbia). Everything went their way against the Shamokin Area Indians on Tuesday as they made off with a 27-12 win. Considering the Bluejays have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Columbia and bumps their season record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.0 runs over those games. As for Shamokin Area, they moved to 5-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Central Columbia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair will be back at it again later today.
