Softball Recap: Tascosa Takes a Loss

Tascosa lost against Monterey back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainsmen.

Tascosa got a big performance out of Zariah Delgado, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmi Whitehead, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Tascosa has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season. As for Monterey, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Coincidentally, Tascosa and Monterey will both be playing Amarillo the next time they take the field. The Rebels will host the Sandies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Plainsmen will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
