Baseball Game Preview: Walled Lake Central Vikings vs. Walled Lake Western Warriors

For the second straight game, Walled Lake Central will face off against Walled Lake Western. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Walled Lake Central is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Walled Lake Western just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

For Walled Lake Western's part, Vincent Roach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Roach has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Walled Lake Western saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Sauve, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Novak Lazich also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
