Basketball Recap: Lone Tree Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Lone Tree was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Hillcrest Academy Ravens, falling 77-27. The Lions have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Lone Tree's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Hillcrest Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lone Tree will venture away from home to square off against Danville on Friday. As for Hillcrest Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hillcrest Academy Ravens duke it out with the West Burlington Falcons on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (West Burlington has won eight straight at home, while Hillcrest Academy won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
