Volleyball Recap: Chetopa Takes a Loss

Chetopa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Galena Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 4th.

Rylie Myer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine assists and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Madison Boyes also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Chetopa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Galena, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Coincidentally, Chetopa and Galena will both be playing Caney Valley the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Bullpups at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
