Basketball Game Preview: American Patriots vs. Dr. Krop Lightning

The American Patriots will square off against the Dr. Krop Lightning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Dr. Krop likes a good challenge.

On Friday, American came up short against True North Classical Academy and fell 66-56.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Joshua Castin, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and seven boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Angel Torres, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Dr. Krop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against Hialeah Gardens, falling 64-33.

Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

American didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dr. Krop when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Does American have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dr. Krop turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
