The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Nix Fullen and Alie Bangura. Bangura had a great game and rushed for 128 yards and one TD while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Fullen was balling out in the loss, rushing for 140 yards and four scores, while also picking up 33 receiving yards.
Having lost for the first time this season, University School of Jackson fell to 7-1. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. University School of Jackson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 214.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tipton-Rosemark Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 225.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
