Valley hadn't done well against Viburnum recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Blue Jays 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

While Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Viburnum scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Reagan Schrum paced Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Schrum got some help from Ryleigh Maxwell and her 14 assists. Maxwell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alivia Boyer, each putting up four.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1. As for Viburnum, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Valley will venture away from home to square off against Grandview at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Viburnum, they will welcome Belle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
