Basketball Recap: Jamil Gonzalez and Thomas Calabrese Secure Win for Cliffside Park

Cliffside Park lost to Ridgefield Memorial back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Cliffside Park Raiders walked away with a 64-55 win over the Ridgefield Memorial Royals.

Cliffside Park was led to victory by Thomas Calabrese and Jamil Gonzalez. Calabrese posted 23 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists, while Gonzalez had 24 points along with five assists and five boards. Gonzalez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Salvador Millan Ramirez, who put up six points.

The victory got Cliffside Park back to even at 2-2. As for Ridgefield Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Cliffside Park will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Mahwah at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cliffside Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mahwah likes a good challenge. As for Ridgefield Memorial, they will square off against Dwight-Englewood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
