Football Game Preview: Skowhegan vs. Hampden

Hampden may have come out ahead in their last match, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will challenge Skowhegan on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Hampden are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.

Hampden had a rough outing against Mt. Blue two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Hampden managed a somewhat close 46-42 win over Messalonskee. The win was a breath of fresh air for Hampden as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Skowhegan faced Marshwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Skowhegan were completely outmatched, falling 23-60 to Marshwood.

Hampden took a serious blow against Skowhegan the last time the two teams met, falling 6-47. Can Hampden avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
