Softball Recap: Hollister Haybalers vs. Salinas Cowboys
In what's become a running theme this season, Hollister gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Salinas Cowboys with a sharp 14-2 win. Winning may never get old, but Hollister sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Johnny Casares was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Casares has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Casares was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI.
In other batting news, Mia Phillips was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Madeline Bermudez was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
