Basketball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

After soaring to 59 points the game before, Firebaugh was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 67-25 loss at the hands of the Coalinga Horned Toads. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1205th, while the Horned Toads are ranked 553rd).

Firebaugh has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Coalinga, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firebaugh will welcome Tranquillity at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coalinga, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Avenal at 6:30 p.m.
