Volleyball Recap: New Philadelphia Takes a Loss

New Philadelphia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Madison Comprehensive Rams, falling 3-0. The Quakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-14.

Abbey Sweitzer paced New Philadelphia's offense, picking up five kills. Sweitzer got some help from Marisa Loader and her 11 assists. Finally, Stella Halter kept New Philadelphia's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

New Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Madison Comprehensive, their record now sits at 5-13.

New Philadelphia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against West Holmes on the 2nd. As for Madison Comprehensive, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Wooster on the 2nd.
