Kingsburg is 8-2 against Selma since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will take on the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Selma took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kingsburg, who comes in off a win.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Kingsburg nor Dinuba made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Vikings walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Emperors. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Emperors: they've now won five in a row.

Nick Lindgren looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jensen Hirschkorn was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Eric Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Selma's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Yosemite by a score of 10-9.

Matheo Roque was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Luna, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Kingsburg's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Selma, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Kingsburg took their win against Selma in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
