Basketball Recap: Front Range Baptist takes loss despite strong performances from Katie Jaques and Hadyn Woods

Basketball Recap: Front Range Baptist Falcons vs. Union Colony Prep Timberwolves
If the Front Range Baptist Falcons were riding high off their 25-4 takedown of the Denver Waldorf Spartans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Front Range Baptist took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves on Friday. Front Range Baptist was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Hadyn Woods and Katie Jaques certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Woods scored nine points, while Jaques scored five points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Front Range Baptist has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Union Colony Prep, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist will take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Colony Prep, they will play host again and welcome the Hawks, where tip off is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
