Basketball Recap: Faith HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Faith HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 79-35 loss at the hands of the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Faith HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Casey Jacobson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Jacobson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Joshua Blake was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Chatham HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Teague out in front who went 11 of 13 on his way to 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Teague has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Luke Coletta, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Faith HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Faith HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-44 defeat against New Life Camp on the 27th. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-46 win against Surry HomeSchool on the 24th.
