Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Crusaders vs. St. Anne Cardinals
The Grace Christian Academy Crusaders lost against the St. Anne Cardinals back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grace Christian Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-44 walloping at the hands of the Cardinals. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grace Christian Academy in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading St. Anne to victory were Jordan Davis and Chris Link. Davis scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Link dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Blyle, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for St. Anne, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Grace Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Astros at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Shepard has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30. As for St. Anne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
