Meanwhile, Lee also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Abingdon on Monday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Abingdon are ranked 94th).

Lee dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for John Battle, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

John Battle took their win against Lee in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
