Soccer Recap: Tough Loss for Basic

Basic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Silverado Skyhawks. While losing is never fun, Basic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Silverado are ranked 17th).

Basic's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Silverado, they have been performing incredibly well recently, winning nine of their last 10 contests. That run has powered them to a 12-3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Basic will square off against their in-conference opponent Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Silverado is set to challenge their familiar foe Southeast Career Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
