Glen Rose has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hillsboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Glen Rose took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Godley 56-21. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Glen Rose found their leader in sophomore Judd Connally, who rushed for 192 yards and two scores while picking up 12.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 196 yards and four TDs. Those 192 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Connally. Another player making a difference was Luke Males, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Glen Rose was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 280 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Glen Rose's defense made their presence known, laying out Ryder Papasan 3.5 times. Oliver Elliott refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Glen Rose got some further help from Ryder Ribitzki: he made 19 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Hillsboro came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 56-8 victory over Venus. The Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 62-0).
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Braylen Benson and Kaden Grim. Benson rushed for 142 yards and three scores on only 14 carries while Grim rushed for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Grim didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass. Jaylon Fennell was in the mix as well, providing Hillsboro with two touchdowns.
Hillsboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Fennell and Edward Ramirez. Fennell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Glen Rose's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Hillsboro, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Glen Rose has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 249 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hillsboro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 232.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Glen Rose against Hillsboro when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-6 win. In that matchup, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
