Baseball Recap: Round Mountain Takes a Loss

Round Mountain and Pahranagat Valley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Round Mountain had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Round Mountain's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Pahranagat Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

Round Mountain and Pahranagat Valley are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will venture away from home to face off against Tonopah at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Muckers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.48 runs per game on average), something Round Mountain will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will square off against Liberty Baptist Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
