Basketball Recap: Aurora Central Trojans vs. Regis Groff Fusion
Aurora Central kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 75-55 to the Regis Groff Fusion. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fusion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Flores posted 22 points and eight boards, while Davis Jr scored 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Flores' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tyiir Hobley, who earned four points.
James Murdock had a dynamite game For Regis Groff., dropping a double-double with 38 points and ten rebounds. Murdock is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Smith, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Aurora Central will venture away from home to take on Hinkley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Regis Groff, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Aurora West College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
