Basketball Recap: Mifflin County Huskies vs. State College Little Lions
After flying high against Midd-West last Tuesday, Mifflin County came back down to earth. The Mifflin County Huskies fell to the State College Little Lions 44-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 51-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.
Charlie Yartz was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds for State College. Yartz also grabbed four steals, which is notable because State College is 3-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 7-11 otherwise. Nick Carr was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.
Mifflin County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. State College's win bumped their record up to 10-12.
As of now, neither Mifflin County nor State College have any future games scheduled.
