Basketball Recap: Pineville Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Pineville Mountain Lions didn't have quite enough to beat the Briarwood Christian Lions and fell 72-69. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pineville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Briarwood Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Pineville and Estill County will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Pineville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Briarwood Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
