Baseball Recap: Wauconda Comes Up Short

Wauconda managed to slip by Lake Forest the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 10-4 to the Scouts on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scouts earlier this season, when they won 10-8.

Carson Koehler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

Wauconda's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Lake Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-16 record this season.

Wauconda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Forest, they will square off against Prairie Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
