Volleyball Game Preview: Lamar Raiders vs. Opelika Bulldogs

The Lamar Raiders will head out to take on the Opelika Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamar will be strutting in after a victory while Opelika will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Lamar made easy work of Union and carried off a 3-0 win. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Lamar never let Union on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-9, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Opelika had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee-Scott Academy. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Opelika, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
