Baseball Game Preview: Maypearl Panthers vs. Grandview Zebras

Maypearl and Grandview are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. Maypearl will be playing at home against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Grandview will be up against a hot Maypearl team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Maypearl never let Rice get on the board and left with a 20-0 win last Friday. Give the Panthers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Grandview got the win against Palmer on Friday by a conclusive 8-2. The victory continues a trend for the Zebras in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 6-12-1. As for Maypearl, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Maypearl came out on top in a nail-biter against Grandview when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will Maypearl repeat their success, or does Grandview has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
