Volleyball Recap: Tuscola Comes Up Short

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Henderson Falcons, falling 3-0. If the Mountaineers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-11.

Samantha Horton paced Tuscola's offense, picking up four kills. Horton got some help from Stella Yarrington and her eight assists. Finally, Ivy Jones kept Tuscola's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Tuscola's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for West Henderson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Tuscola will venture away from home to face off against Smoky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Henderson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hendersonville on the 27th.
