Volleyball Recap: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Royal Highlanders
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Upland can now relate to. They fell just short of the Royal Highlanders by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
Upland took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-11.
Despite the loss, Upland still got an impressive performance from Addison Contreras, who had 22 digs. Contreras is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last 11 games she's played.
Upland's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Royal, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-9.
Upland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Royal, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Bishop Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
