Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves vs. Ellicottville Eagles
The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. Their rough 61-35 defeat to Ellicottville might stick with them for a while. Cattaraugus-Little Valley has struggled against Ellicottville recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ellicottville found their leader in underclassman Blake Smith, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Chudy, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Ellicottville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cattaraugus-Little Valley will take on Brocton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brocton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Ellicottville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Valley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
