Basketball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bakersfield Lions. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bakersfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Houston will be home for the holidays to greet Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwood will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Houston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bakersfield, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bakersfield Lions challenge the Seymour Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
