Softball Preview: Woodson Cavaliers vs. South County Stallions
Woodson is 1-9 against South County since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cavaliers will square off against the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Woodson turned things around against Fairfax on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Lions.
Meanwhile, South County came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over the Titans. Considering the Stallions have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
