Recap: Jefferson Panthers vs. Manhattan Christian Eagles
The Jefferson Panthers waltzed into their contest on Friday with 16 straight wins but they left with 17. They put the hurt on Manhattan Christian with a sharp 63-37 win. Jefferson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.
MacKenzie Layng continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Hannah Stevens was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Jefferson's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Manhattan Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Manhattan Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
