Softball Recap: San Pasqual Golden Eagles vs. Westview Wolverines

San Pasqual started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Westview. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. Ally McKinley was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brooklynn Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

San Pasqual's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Westview, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-1 record this season.

San Pasqual will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mission Hills at 3:30 p.m. on April 16. As for Westview, they will challenge Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
