Softball Recap: Vinton Comes Up Short

Vinton lost against Mamou back in April of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vinton Lions came up short against the Mamou Demons, falling 16-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vinton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mamou, they moved to 4-6-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Vinton Lions take on Starks Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Vinton has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Mamou, they will face off against Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
