Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy suffered their closest defeat since January 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wayne Valley Indians by a score of 54-51. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 58-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayne Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Flower, who posted eight points along with seven boards and six assists. Those eight points gave Flower a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Veale, who went 7 for 17 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

The loss snapped Kennedy's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record. As for Wayne Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Kennedy will face off against KIPP Cooper Norcross at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne Valley, they will head out to take on Red Bank Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
