Baseball Recap: Calera Now 17-1 over Last 18 Games

Calera had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Coleman on Monday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Calera is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Coleman, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Calera will take on Tushka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
