Softball Recap: Northern Potter Takes a Loss

If Northern Potter was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Oswayo Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 10-0 to the St. Marys Flying Dutch on Monday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Northern Potter's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. Marys, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Northern Potter will square off against Coudersport at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Marys, they will take on DuBois Central Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Flying Dutch 1.7, the Cardinals 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
