Basketball Game Preview: Twinsburg Tigers vs. Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers

Twinsburg and Cuyahoga Falls are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Twinsburg Tigers will head out to face off against the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Twinsburg can't be too worried about heading out to take on Cuyahoga Falls: they just beat Wadsworth at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Twinsburg snuck past Wadsworth with a 30-25 victory on Saturday.

Among those leading the charge was Kayla Cellura, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points. Mackenzie Sweeney was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Roosevelt on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 24-19 win.

Cuyahoga Falls pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Twinsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Twinsburg was able to grind out a solid win over Cuyahoga Falls in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 41-34. Will Twinsburg repeat their success, or does Cuyahoga Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
