Basketball Recap: Notre Dame's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It was a good run, but Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington Knights. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Knights are ranked 38th).

Farmington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cannon Roth, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 20 points and eight boards. Roth is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 63% in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Schaupert, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Farmington, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farmington, they have already played their next contest, a 56-42 win against Union on the 27th.
