Baseball Recap: Caliche Comes Up Short

Caliche came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Merino Rams, falling 8-2. The Buffaloes have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Colton Cochran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Caliche's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 1-8 when he doesn't).
