Meanwhile, Shoreham-Wading River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Islip, falling 14-1. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mount Sinai's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Shoreham-Wading River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything went Mount Sinai's way against Shoreham-Wading River in their previous matchup on April 8th, as Mount Sinai made off with a 15-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
