There's no place like home for New Albany, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Independence Wildcats on Monday as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

New Albany got a great performance from Allie Ozbirn as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zakathryn Cameron, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Laken Gordon, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one triple.
