Basketball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Southern Aroostook Warriors 58-20. The Hornets lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 91-20 score last time.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Southern Aroostook, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Ashland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Van Buren at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Southern Aroostook will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Wisdom at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
