Basketball Recap: Peace Folorunso Key Part of Team Effort in Grizzlies Win

After losing to Yreka the last time they met, Lassen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lassen Grizzlies walked away with a 70-63 win over the Yreka Miners on Tuesday. The Grizzlies didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Lassen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peace Folorunso led the charge by putting up 22 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Folorunso a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Zach Hart, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 boards.

Lassen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Yreka lost, don't look at Trevan Crane. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points. The game was Crane's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Vann, who had ten points.

Lassen's win bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Yreka, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-17.
